Why should the energy certificate?

• Occupancy permission of the new estates;
• Long term – more than a year period – real estate rentals;
• Buildings with over 1 000 m2 net area, occupied by public authorities and institutions providing public services.
• From January 1 st 2012 is compulsory for any existing building for sale and purchase or lease (some exceptions, for example: less than 50 m2)

What you should know about energy certificate?

From the beginning of 2012 the Energy Certificate is compulsory. The end result of the Certificate is a label which shows the energy usage of the real estate.

The scale of the label is similar to the one already in use: the most favorable is the one with "A+", while the worst one is listed in the "I" category. The regulation marks the "C" category as benchmark and compares the rest of them to it according to this chart below:

The calculations are based on the building categories. The certification includes a power line proposal, which clearly tells you what category and how the proposed house could be modernized.

The process of certification is:

• calculate building energy
• prepare the certification, formulation of proposals
